Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco, an American-Canadian singer and songwriter. Her albums span over 20 years. Her music is classified as folk music and alternative rock although it includes influences from punk hip hop, hip-hop and jazz. Ani DiFranco was the very first artist to launch her own label in 1990. Ani is widely considered as one of the feminist icons. DiFranco born on 23 September 1970 in the city of Buffalo, New York. She is the daughter of Elizabeth (Ross), who came across Dante Americo DiFranco while studying at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
