Zoe-perry
Perry is the daughter of actors Laurie Metcalf, and Jeff Perry. In the ABC sitcom Roseanne (in flashback), her mother played Jackie Harris in two of Perry's first television roles. She was not allowed to begin acting by her parents until she reached the age of adulthood because they were afraid of the stress it would cause. Perry acknowledged that she was not at ease in the stage during high school however, she began to perform as way to get acquainted with new individuals in Northwestern University after switching from Boston University. When she graduated, Perry went to New York to search for acting opportunities on TV, landing small roles in series like Law & Order: Criminal Intent however, her homesickness led her back to California where she found theatre work. She appeared on Broadway as a part of The Other Place with her mother in the year 2013. In the year 2015, she was along with Kevin McKidd alongside her mother in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prizewinning drama Anna Christie. It is part of the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble is located in West Los Angeles. Perry made an appearance in 9 episodes on ABC's drama The Family during 2016. Perry played a prominent role as a character on ABC show, a political thriller Scandal, starring her dad. The actress was also featured on the CBS sitcom The Big Bang Theory spin-off Young Sheldon as a version younger of Mary Cooper, Sheldon Cooper's mother. This role was given to her through audition, regardless of the fact that she was a cousin to the character.
